THE HR FACTOR

The HR Factor is a young partnership between Howard Whitehead and Rino Nobel. We are based in Geeveston, Tasmania, Australia; which is nearly at the bottom end of the world - we only have penguins south of us! We are working from our studios/workshops in Geeveston.

We always try to concentrate on working in our areas of expertise which are bronze, ceramics, glass and jewellery - but this can be boring and so we do things with wood, batik, painting and anything that takes our interest (including doing house renovation or gardening). We have many things in common, but the main one is that we both find a climate with temperature higher than 16 degrees centigrade is too much to bear!

We take our work seriously and believe that art should also contain humour and puzzles to help the observer’s day become more joyful and fulfilling.
